In the current international economic and trade situation, governments worldwide increasingly utilize tariffs as key trade protection measures. Since April, the new U.S. administration has launched "reciprocal tariff wars" against global trading partners including China under its "America First" policy framework. In response, the Chinese government has implemented resolute countermeasures. As a Shanghai Stock Exchange-listed supply chain service provider, Bondex Group firmly supports these decisions while leveraging its expertise to empower import and export clients navigating tariff war challenges with customs compliance guide.

Commodity classification, being fundamental to tariff structures and customs compliance, critically determines whether goods can clear customs smoothly at both origin and destination ports. Aligning with the development trends of global economy and trade, the Classification Expert Committee of China Customs Brokers Association (CCBA) actively promotes localized implementation of international commodity classification standards. Serving as CCBA's vice president unit, Bondex Group maintains close collaboration with the committee.

Recently, Bondex successfully hosted CCBA's 2025 Commodity Classification City Tour (Chengdu) at its Western China regional headquarters. The Classification Expert Committee of CCBA invited experts from the Supervising Office of General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) in Shanghai, Tariff Department of Chengdu Customs, and enterprise classification specialists of the committee to the event. Focusing on China's major import/export categories and classification challenges in customs audits and customs declarations with compliance, the experts shared practical compliance experience through interactive sessions, and offered risk mitigation strategies for tariff war scenarios.

Major clients and logistics industry peers invited by Bondex, and Bondex’s customs affairs specialists, participated in the lectures and on-site discussions. Meanwhile, the livestream of the event, conducted jointly by CCBA and Bondex, attracted numerous customs declaration compliance professionals and commodity classification enthusiasts for online interaction, trying to benefit more concerned. Moving forward, Bondex will continue leveraging resources of CBBA and the whole industry to empower clients' customs compliance capabilities, actively supporting CCBA's initiatives.
